How to Style with Emo Hairstyle?

Hairstyle

Emo hair is one of the more superficial aspects of the Emo subculture. The common stereotype of emo hair is to have it worn over one eye and dyed jet-black, (although it may be dyed or streaked in many other colors). Emo hair is normally associated with long bangs over the eyes hence the term 'emo fringe.' There are other types of emo hair but usually there is an 'emo fringe.'

"emo" hair is not a real style... basically let your hair get long... like down to your nose or so, then go somewhere and tell them that you want to look EMO, even though Indie and Hipster kids look the same (kinda just messy hair) most people like to call it Emo... It looks like you're going to have to find a way to make your hair thinner/easier to style. Most emo hair tends to just fall straight down, not really sticking out.Well, when going for the whole emo look, you need to have hair that can be styled, yes, but you can't just have it lying flat. That doesn't look emo. It needs to be part to the side and then brought straight down, or like BlackDahliaAvenger said, spike it in the back and bring the front part downwards. It does help to grow it out a little bit more.

The basics of emo hair:

-A flat iron straightener (a MUST have)

-Black hair dye

-Some sort of hair product, not sure what they're called but I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Healing Shine Serum (which I got for free thanks to The Black Market )

-Cut short in the back to prevent mullet-ness

-Conditioning your hair everynight

-Combing your hair after you get out of the shower and what not helps
